Balance.... what we are always trying to achieve with work, family, fitness, food, leisure, relationships, you name it.  The struggle is most definitely real.  When we become out of sync we can feel anxious, stressed, overwhelmed, the list goes on.

I turn to the Balance blend as my unicorn oil, because for me it's magic.  I'll let you in a big secret, I suffer from weird anxious feelings in regards to being away from home.  I'll share my store below, but give you the 411 on Balance here first.

  • Spruce, one of the oils in dōTERRA Balance, was used by Native Americans for health and spiritual reasons and is still used today to bring harmony to the mind and body.

  • Ho Wood, Blue Tansy, and Blue Chamomile can ease anxious feelings.

  • Begin your day by putting Balance on the bottom of your feet to promote feelings of calmness and tranquility throughout the day.

  • Apply to your wrists or neck to help ease anxious feelings.

  • Diffuse to create a calming, soothing environment.

TIP: I put my balance in a roller ball for easy application on the go.  I got a custom label made here, using the "mermaid neochrome" color vinyl.

I'm not afraid to leave, I love going out, and I'm not afraid of crowds or people.  It's more of a feeling of being trapped, unable to get home.  For example, being in a 9-5 job, unable to leave, I feel 'trapped' and start to panic.  Even shorter amounts of time.  I had a job in Florence that I LOVED (so the job itself is not even the issue).  It was only a half day even, so 4 hours is not too long right?  But the only time I could sleep was Friday & Saturday nights, knowing I didn't have work the next day - I was able to fully relax.

It wasn't until about a year after I moved here to Bellingham that I figured it out.  I couldn't sleep the night before work because I was subconsciously starting to panic about being 'trapped' at work.  I figured it out because when I started work here in Bellingham, I started going through the same thing, even though it is also part time.  It's so much the commitment, because my heart is in it, but something else that is just too hard to explain - I haven't found the correct words yet.  The other aspect is a little bit of claustrophobia that I feel when I can't see outside.  I do a lot of work inside big stores where I can't see outside, I can start to feel panic, get sweaty and feel like I'm loosing my breathe.  This is a self diagnosis here... I've not been to a doctor about it, but I can recognize what's happening to myself.  I started rubbing Balance on my chest over my heart, on my wrists and sometimes on the back of my neck and within minutes, I've calmed down and feel in control again.  Now instead of waiting till it happens and treating it, I just rub it on before I start work and I'm ok.

I can set my own schedule to a certain extent, as long as I complete all my jobs by Friday.  I'm careful to spread things out over the week, use my Balance, and I'm good to go :)  It's not just work, it can be anything that will take me out of the house for more than a couple of hours (including things I WANT to do).

No matter what causes you to feel anxious or stressed or overwhelmed, I encourage you to try Balance.  It also smells good, which is a plus because not all oils do :)
